Travel Planning Fly Solo: The 50 Best Places On Earth For a Girl to Travel Alone
Fly Solo is a great resource for when you know you want to travel, but have no idea where to go and what each destination offers beyond the general tourist attractions. (Sometimes the marketed ambiguous fluff of `Luxury!" "Relaxation!" doesn't provide much of a description).

Fly Solo rates each location's individual identity on levels of cultural curiosity, activity intensity, weather preference, and social involvement, with insider tips and trip making venues and adventures.

I would advise using Fly Solo to figure out what destination best matches your interests and then go out and buy the large travel guides if you want to learn about specific locations in full. In this manner you save time and money by avoiding buying multiple travel guide on specific locations you assume would be of interest and then spend hours reading about each to debate compatibility.

Each review in Fly Solo takes into account the following areas of importance, overall safety, transportation accessibility, social value, variety in venues, positive acceptance of travelers, affordability, climate expectations, and reliable medical health resources. Fly Solo has a contemporary take for the traveling single girl informing of, shopping hot spots, fashion tips and faux pas (some of the cultural nature), where to hit up meeting locals/ new friends, travel guide and local literature recommendations, as well as websites to check out prior to travel.

Outlining 50 exciting destinations, Fly Solo is a great resource to familiarize yourself with the difference between destinations and their individual offerings when debating your travel ventures.

Travel Planning Splendid!
I have loved this book! I take it everywhere with me so that I can always pick it up and read about another city to travel too. This book is full of entertainment, travel, food, fashion, and safety suggestions. Each city is carefully mapped out and full of wonderful travel ideas for every woman out there. This book doesn't cater to one personality type, it caters to everyone. This book is great for planning your trip!

Travel Planning A Travel Must for All Women
Bought copies of this book for both myself and my 20-year old niece. She was blown away -- she found a love of exotic places (re: anywhere outside of the Pacific Northwest) during a stint as a foreign exchange student and now can't wait to finish college and set out to discover Willamson's 50 places for herself! As for me, I've traveled a lot both solo and accompanied and this book tells it all. Love the tone -- anytime I'm a little down thinking about another all-day meeting, I can pick up my copy and escape until I make my next trip -- with Flying Solo in my carry-on of course!

Travel Planning It's OK but this is not a Travel Book
I am an experiences solo women traveller looking for some new places to visit. I was more concerned with safe places for women to travel alone without getting hassled. This woman seemed more concerned about where to party and what kind of shoes we should be wearing. Honestly I am 33 year old traveler and I know to dress and I rather learn more about what are safe areas to travel to, where to stay safely and honestly more about what to see in do. I think the only thing I need from this book is the first page of the locations. The content in the book gave me no help of what do and how to experience the city. I don't think flirting and trying to seduce men and where to shop is experiencing a city. This book was just not a travel book it was a travel story. Its definitely not Rick Steves or Lonely Planet. I was disappointed.

Travel Planning books
Thought this book would inform me of places that were safe and easy for a single to visit. NOT! It lists cities and just a few details - not very good with that either. Example: be sure to bring your thong - men here don't like pantie lines.
